The Paradox of Choice
Book | 2015
I designed an experimental book, consisting of texts about the infinite choice of products we have in the western world. The idea is portrayed in the design of the book, the texts talk about the mass production, from writing books to the choice of crisps on a supermarket shelf. When the consumer is confronted with too much choice, he might choose to not to choose at all. The book begins with Gabriel Zaid’s ‘Too Many Books’ scanned in increasing and decreasing sizes on a different paper for each page creating a cluttered feeling, and ending with white default paper.
